Tierney is a dynamic leader in the retail space with over 15 years of experience driving brand strategy and omnichannel marketing excellence for consumer brands. As chief marketing & digital officer at Sakara, she oversees P&L, brand strategy, integrated marketing, retention marketing, product marketing, ecommerce, and customer service functions.

Before joining Sakara, Tierney served as senior vice president of strategy & consulting at January Digital, where she transformed and scaled some of the most renowned direct-to-consumer and retail brands. She helped launch Fenty Beauty globally, led Honest Co's media through to its IPO, and developed monetization strategies that delivered over $60M incremental revenue for Victoria's Secret.

What do you appreciate about being a collaborator at Newcastle?

What I most appreciate about Newcastle is the commitment to the pursuit of curiosity and “no a**holes” policy in both the collaborators they partner with and businesses they invest in. Everyone is genuinely kind and always willing to help one another in pursuit of knowledge. This breeds an atmosphere of trust and innovation I haven’t seen at other PE firms.

What was your childhood career dream and how different is it from what you're doing now?

President of the United States.

Pizza is better when dipped in balsamic vinaigrette.
