Jonathan Weiner
Business Development, The Newcastle Network
Jonathan leads Business Development at Newcastle, where he cultivates investment and network opportunities across the firm’s core consumer categories. A lifelong builder with deep operating experience, Jonathan brings an empathy-first approach to partnerships—having been in the trenches himself, founders and operators see him as more than just a dealmaker.
Within the Newcastle portfolio, Jonathan also supports business development functionality across companies—ranging from retail expansion to talent sourcing and agency partnerships. He believes every interaction is an opportunity to be helpful, and lives by the principle of showing up in service of the founders and partners he supports.
Before joining Newcastle, Jonathan spent five years scaling a baby and toddler snack company into 10,000+ retail doors across more than 10 countries, exiting the business in 2020. Earlier in his career, he worked in private wealth management at Merrill Lynch.
He’s also the founder of Mutt Dog, a purpose-driven lifestyle brand for dogs and their people, which he continues to grow in parallel—another reflection of his builder DNA.
Jonathan holds a degree from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst.
