Amanda Casgar

Head of Culture and Community, Domain Team, The Newcastle Network

Amanda is a marketing and brand pioneer with a passion for launching and growing businesses. Her early career built new ventures for iconic media brands, including Oprah Winfrey, The Food Network, Rachael Ray, and Lifetime.

Amanda spent 12 years at lululemon, leading their community team where, from 2009 to 2021, she helped lulu expand across the U.S. and open their first European store. She then went on to work for them in Hong Kong for four years, where she helped scale the company into a $1.5B business spanning eight new countries.

These days, Amanda coaches executives and consults with brands looking to power up their growth through strong cultures. At Newcastle, Amanda digs deep with founders to uncover their "why" and turns those insights into principles that build cultures that fuel high-performance and growth.

What’s your why?

I believe that if more people were connected to each other in the practice of being human, the world would be a better place. This translates to the world of private equity by connecting people and businesses to growth—both financial and personal.

If you could instantly become an expert in anything, which would you choose and why?

I would love to be an expert in self-regulation, to be more zen in the face of tricky situations or people.

What's a hill you're willing to die on about something completely trivial?

A well-made bed! I love a tight tuck. And great sheets? Heaven.

What's the most out-of-character item in your Spotify playlist?

My 4-year-old daughter loves a podcast called Grim, Grimmer, Grimmest. I don’t like scary stories, but she loves them. She’s a true original!
